Adventure Pathways is an exciting program that provides participants of all ages with opportunities for adventurous activities. Boxing and Physical Fitness Center
Opened in September 1999, the center provides the opportunity for individuals and families to enjoy many of the same activities found at local health clubs for a fraction of the cost. The center offers free weights, treadmills, weight machines, stationary bikes and stairclimbers as well as aerobics classes. Boxing training for both males and females in preparation for international competition is also available. The Boxing Center is located at 302 South 10th Street in Wilmington. Docking

Dog Park at Empie
The Wilmington Dog Park at Empie is the first functional off-leash dog park in Wilmington. The park is incorporated into a 2-acre site of unused land within the confines of Empie Park which is located near Independence and Park Avenue. For more information call (910) 341-3237.
Fit For Fun Center

Greenfield Amphitheater
The facility is operated for the recreation and entertainment needs for Wilmington and the surrounding area, and is provided as a venue for performances, programs, exhibitions, festivals and other special events. For more information email Amy Beatty or call (910) 341-4604.
Greenfield Grind Skate Park
The Greenfield Grind Skate Park is an all concrete facility designed by Jim Rees and Wally Hollday spans over 9,000 square feet consisting of multi-bowls with a banked street course. Halyburton Park
Halyburton Park is the first of its kind in Wilmington, with a 58-acre nature preserve, a 1.3-mile walking and biking trail, picnic shelters and playground equipment, and an environmental education and events center. The programs offered at the park educate participants about the natural world around them and encourage citizens to take an active role in its preservation. Legion Sports Complex
The Legion Sports Complex is provided as a venue for performances, programs, exhibitions, athletic events and other activities that are in the interest of the community. Legion Stadium is the home facility for the New Hanover High School Wildcats, the Wilmington Sharks (baseball) and the Wilmington Hammerheads of the United States Soccer League. The Municipal Golf Course

Pools
The City of Wilmington operates three public swimming pools during the summer season. Pool admission is $1.00 per child (17 and under) and $2.00 for adults. All pools are handicap accessible and are equipped with bathhouses and lifeguard staff on duty at all times. Pools will be open May 24, 2008 - August 23, 2008 (Mondays - Saturdays, closed on Sundays) with new pool hours featuring extended hours for the 2008 season! Senior Programs

Special Olympics
Special Olympics is an international program of year-round sports training and athletic competition for more than one million children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
