The City of Wilmington held a public input meeting on June 28 concerning the Hewletts & Bradley Creek Watershed Restoration Plan.
The the plan was developed in cooperation with the City of Wilmington, North Carolina Coastal Federation, UNCW Center for Marine Science and the Town of Wrightsville Beach. The goal of the plan is to restore water quality, shellfish harvesting and ultimately to remove the creeks from the State’s Impaired Waters List.
The public was given the opportunity to receive information about the proposed plan and provide feedback on the proposed actions.
The public's input will be incorporated into the plan and will be presented to City Council at their September 4 Council Meeting.
