On Monday the City of Wilmington Police Department swore in six new police officers at City Hall.
We welcome Michael Adams, Theodore Cavanaugh, Joshua Childress, Latrice McKoy, Mark Smallwood and Kiera Smith into the Wilmington Police Department.
This class was unique because it was the first class to have recruits from both the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office and the Wilmington Police Department integrated into one academy. This was a logical partnership between both agencies and promotes unity within the law enforcement profession as well as within the communities they serve.
