The recent heavy rains were no match for the city's completed stormwater projects.
The most recent project involved restoration of the Sweetwater Branch stream behind Kerr Avenue, installing pipe in Cedar Avenue and storm drains along College Road. This $1.7 million, 7 month project, completed just last week, prevented localized flooding on College Road at Cedar Avenue, which had long been prone to flooding.
A project in the Cavalier Woods area off Eastwood Road was also recently completed and successfully kept stormwater from flooding the roadways.
