N. 3rd Street closure and water advisory
Water Advisory, August 18 & 19
This Saturday, August 18 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., contractors will be connecting a new water line along North 3rd Street. Water service may be disrupted to the areas shown on the map below.
According to the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority, customers in the affected area will be under a precautionary boil water advisory until late Sunday.

Road closure
Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, August 20, N. 3rd Street will be closed to north and southbound traffic at the Grace Street intersection while crews connect a new sewer line.
The detour will use 4th street for Northbound traffic and 2nd Street for Southbound traffic between Chestnut Street and Walnut Street. The intersection is expected to open back up Monday afternoon.
