Wrightsville Ave corridor meeting

The city will hold a public information meeting on Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. in the 3rd floor conference room at the Cape Fear Hospital, located at 5301 Wrightsville Avenue. 

This is the second meeting to discuss an amendment to the Wrightsville Avenue 2030 land use and transportation plan, which was adopted in 2010. Modified recommendations will be presented at this meeting, based on input received at the first meeting on Sept. 20.  

The amendment is in response to a recent rezoning request for property along the portion of Wrightsville Avenue between Hawthorn Drive and French Road. City staff are amending the plan to promote consistent zoning for this portion of Wrightsville Avenue rather than a piecemeal, lot by lot rezoning approach.
