Major stormwater project finished

A project to alleviate flooding in the Mineral Springs area is wrapping up with this week’s re-paving of the a portion of bike path that runs from Colwell Avenue to Dawson Street that had been closed since May. The path was closed while large drainage pipes were installed underground and was re-opened Thursday, October 25. In the event of heavy rains from this weekend’s pending tropical storm, the $585,000 project will reduce flooding for drivers in the Oleander Drive/Dawson Street area.
