In an effort to ease traffic congestion on Wrightsville Avenue (U.S. 74/76) in Wrightsville Beach, the N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily restrict left turns on and off Airlie Road beginning Feb. 25.
According to the NCDOT, the left turn restrictions were requested by the Wilmington Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Town of Wrightsville Beach to improve traffic flow near the drawbridge until all four lanes are open to traffic.
