Summer sports camp for Special Olympics
Camp Shriver is a FREE, one week Special Olympics day camp program that gives athletes the opportunity to experience the joy of summer camp. Each of the five weeks of camp will target different age groups from age 8-14, 15-21 and 21 and older. Daily activities include all or some of the following: arts & crafts, bowling, games, physical fitness activities, an aquarium visit, picnics, swimming and more.

Halyburton Park Nature Camps (4099 S. 17th Street)
Discover the tales nature has to share at Halyburton Park. Each day we'll safely explore different habitats learning about dragonflies, butterflies, spiders, snakes, frogs, toads, birds and other wildlife. Campers will enjoy games and hands-on activities while exploring nature.

Jr. Naturalist Camp
July 16-20 from 8 am - 5 pm
Explore and discover the diversity of plants and animals in North Carolina through hands-on learning and field trips to various natural areas and attractions. Campers will learn how to safely explore, observe and appreciate nature.
June 25-29 from 8 am - 5 pm
Learn about and explore the wilds of coastal North Carolina on this eco-adventure tour! We'll visit sea turtles, learn about barrier islands, explore a marsh, stroll the beach discovering the many seashells of the coast, go hiking and canoeing, take a fossil hunt, crab and seine to discover marine life and explore nature around Wilmington. On Friday, campers will travel to the NC Museum of Natural Sciences and watch and IMAX movie.

Observe nature through artists' eyes as you spend the week drawing, painting, sculpting and journaling. NOTE: art supplies are not included.
