The next Wilmington Citizens' Fire Academy will be held from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. every Tuesday from September 14 through November 2, 2010.
If you are at least 18 years of age and are interested in learning more about the Wilmington Fire Department and their duties, sign up for this exciting series. The Fire Academy program also includes hands-on experience with fire prevention, rescue, communications, hazardous materials identification, extinguisher training , basic first aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and tactical and water rescue.
Applications are due by August 15, 2010. There is a $25.00 program fee and a medical evaluation form must be completed by a physician prior to being accepted into the Academy.
