The city began an outreach campaign in October to provide citizens with the opportunity to learn more about the city’s budget and to receive feedback on what services they think are most important. Input is being gathered this fall so that it can be considered as the 2011-12 budget is being developed next winter. Outreach efforts include:
Budget education meetings
- Oct. 14 at Winter Park Baptist Church, 6 – 7:30 p.m.
- Oct. 18 at the New Hanover County Arboretum, 6 – 7:30 p.m.
- Oct. 26 at City Council Chambers in City Hall, 6 – 7:30 p.m.
