The city completed installing medians in the Pine Valley East neighborhood on August 4. The medians reduce speeds and improve safety in the neighborhoods.
The long-term devices were installed at 7 intersections:
- Kelly Rd. & N. Hampton Rd.
- Kelly Rd. & N. Hampton Rd.
- Amber Dr. & Wickford Rd.
- Waltmoor Rd. & Wickford Rd.
- Brookshire Ln. & Nottingham Ln
- Eagles Nest Dr. & Sparrow Hawk Ct.
- Kelly Rd. & Sand Hill Dr.
This is just one of many neighborhood traffic studies the city has completed to develop immediate and long-term solutions in 17 Wilmington neighborhoods. Other neighborhoods where the long-term devices have been implemented include Windemere, Creekwood, Sunset Park, College Acres and others.
