The city is sponsoring two application workshops for nonprofit and/or qualifying for-profit agencies applying for General Funds, Community Development Block Grant or HOME Funds for 2012-2013. The workshops are an opportunity for organizations to learn what is required during the city application process and what city and federal regulations are required for implementing programs.
These workshops are MANDATORY for anyone wishing to apply for construction or non-construction projects.
The workshops will both take place on Friday, December 9, 2011 at City Hall, located at 102 N. 3rd Street. The workshop for construction project applications will take place from 9-11 a.m. and the workshop for non-construction projects will take place from 1-3 p.m.
Reservations are requested and should be made by December 7, 2011 by calling 910.341.7836, TDD (910) 341-7873 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Periodically, the city issues a request for proposals to fund community partners to work on public service, public facility and housing initiatives. Applications are available for both non-construction and construction projects. Construction and non-construction project applications will be accepted from December 10, 2011 – February 3, 2012. Applications received after February 3, 2012 will not be considered.
The public may provide comment and input to the city on how they feel General Funds, Community Development Block Grant or HOME funds should be allocated.
