City Council approved a comprehensive annexation policy at their August 17 City Council Meeting. 

The policy's intent is to:

• Establish guidelines for future annexation decisions
• Propose a process to inform residents and property owners of future annexations
• Establish a procedure for future annexations to be considered by the city on a two-year cycle
