Nei Repairs Progress

Description: Replace junction box at Bradley Creek pump station, and install interim pumps at both the Bradley Creek and Hewlett’s Creek pump stations.
Cost: $2.2 million
Construction Timeline: August - December 2007

What’s happening now: The junction box manhole has been ordered and should be available within two weeks. The contractor intends to mobilize on October 8 and begin the site work on October 22. The tapping valve for connection of the interim pumps was installed on September 19. All seven of the interim diesel pumps have now been delivered to the city.
Traffic: There are no current traffic impacts associated with this project.

Greenville Loop Road ProjectSite of new air release valve on the NEI along Greenville Loop Road.
Description: Line almost one-half mile of pipe near Shinnwood Road, replace air release valves, and replace manholes at Hewlett’s Creek pump station.
Cost: $1.8 million
Construction Timeline: August - December 2007

What’s happening now: Eight of ten air release valves have been replaced. Preparations are now being made for manhole replacement. Pipe lining has not yet started.
Traffic: Delays expected along Pine Grove Drive near the Hewlett's Creek pump station, along with intermittent on-lane closures along Greenville Loop Road.

Description: Replace more than one mile of pipe that currently runs through Hewlett’s Creek.
Cost: $2 million
Construction Timeline: August 2007 - January 2008

What’s happening now: Crews are currently laying pipe across the stream between the Municipal Golf Course and Pine Cone Road; and along Mockingbird Lane between Wintergreen Road and Parkwood Drive.
Traffic: Limited access on Mockingbird Lane; no other current traffic impacts.
