The City of Wilmington purchased the Inland Greens property in March 2011 for $500,000 from the 2006 voter-approved Parks and Greenspace Bond.

Nine holes of the original 18 hole
par-3 will be retrofited.  The other nine holes will be converted to a passive park.  There will be a future connection to the Gary Shell Cross-City Trail. 

Stormwater improvements will also be done to upgrade a poorly functioning drainage system.
