Althea Gibson Tennis Center at Empie Park

Construction for the Althea Gibson Tennis Complex at Empie Park has begun and is scheduled to be completed by April 2010. Empie Park is located at 3405 Park Avenue. 

The project will include:

  • Ten additional lighted tennis courts (expanding the total number of courts at Empie to 18 courts)
  • Two new lighted basketball courts
  • 1500 sq. ft. clubhouse
  • Stormwater modifications
  • Multi-use trail
