The City of Wilmington recognizes the importance of enhancing social benefits and protecting our natural resources and environment. Enriching and restoring social spaces for people to interact and network, builds an environment of community.
Sustainability approaches in planning, design and risk management have long-term benefits to citizens and visitors to the Cape Fear area and preserves our cultural, economic and natural resources. In the spring of 2011, the City of Wilmington, Wilmington Downtown, Inc. and Cape Fear Future began working collaboratively to develop a plan for the sustainability and revitalization of Riverfront Park. This plan was endorsed by City Council and has resulted in a Request for Qualifications.
There has also been an addendum to the RFQ. View the addendum here.
