At it's May 1 meeting, City Council approved changes to the sign ordinance regulating window signs downtown. The revised ordinance allows up to 50% of the ground floor glassed window area of buildings to be covered with window signage within the Central Business District (CBD) and the Central Business District Historic District Overlay (CBD-HDO).   The approved ordinance: 

• Allows up to 50% coverage
• Allows the 50% to consist of any combination of permanent signs and flyers
• Does not regulate items that are not attached to windows
• Counts blacked out windows as signs
