On Friday November, 16th at 6:30 p.m., the Wilmington Fire Department 2012 Recruit Class will graduate. The ceremony will be held at City Hall, Council Chambers with a reception immediately following.
17 recruits that began the WFD Fire Academy on May 29th will graduate. Fire Chief Buddy Martinette will present the graduates their badges and helmets. A family member will pin their badges. The new firefighters will begin their regular shift assignments next week.
Chief Martinette said "I am proud of the hard work and dedication that these recruits have shown over the last six months. Additionally, I am confident that the new graduates will be a valuable asset to our firefighting force."
