Downtown stormwater projects

Ann Street, between Front and Water streets, has re-opened now that stormwater improvements in the block are complete. This project, funded out of the stormwater maintenance budget, wrapped up in 6 weeks and will protect Water and Ann streets from cave-ins that can occur during heavy rains. 

Meanwhile, stormwater work continues in the intersection of Front and Walnut streets. This project is similar to the one on Ann Street; however, work is expected to continue for several more weeks. The intersection is closed to through traffic. A detour is in effect, but local businesses remain accessible.
