City offers low income home loans

Can you tell the housing market is improving? More homes are now being sold as the economy improves and the weather warms up. The City of Wilmington, in partnership with local banks, offers the Home Ownership Pool (HOP) loan program to qualifying low-to-moderate income households looking to achieve the benefit of homeownership.

The first step to qualifying for a HOP loan is attending a Homebuyer Education Seminar hosted by the city on the third Friday of each month. The next class will be held on April 19. Registration is required but the seminar is free. Contact 341-7836 to get more information or to register.
