Work continues on sewer repairs as crews successfully completed a tap into the Northeast Interceptor (NEI) force main on September 19, paving the way for new pumps to be installed. The larger, more reliable pumps will be installed at the Hewlett’s Creek and Bradley Creek pump stations to increase their capacity and reliability. The project is expected to be completed in December at a cost of $2.2 million. The pump installation is one of three major projects currently underway to make needed repairs to the NEI.
