The city will hold two public input meetings for residents in the area of the south branch of Bradley Creek on Wednesday, October 22 and Thursday, October 23. Both meetings begin at 6 p.m. and will be held at the New Hanover County Cooperative Extension, 6206 Oleander Drive.
The city plans to improve the drainage conditions along the south branch of Bradley Creek and its tributaries. The meeting will include a presentation summarizing findings related to physical survey, environmental assessment and analysis of the drainage system. After the presentation, residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide input on drainage issues.
The purpose of the project is to reduce flooding problems, improve water quality draining into Bradley Creek and provide long term maintenance responsibility to the City.
