On Thursday, August 5, local businesses – including small, minority and women-owned businesses – are invited to attend a forum on business opportunities that will be available at the new Convention Center. The forum will be held from 6-8 p.m. at City Hall, located at 102 North Third Street.
The long-term operation and maintenance of the convention center will require many different services and the city is committed to providing local businesses with the opportunity to provide those services.
Services that will be needed include:
- Janitorial and cleaning
- Valet and parking attendants
- Party suppliers
- Temp staffing, including wait staff
- Food and beverage suppliers
- Minor electrical work
- Plumbing and heat/air conditioning repairs
Anyone interested should call (910) 762-6297 or (888) 762-6296 to sign up or get more information.
