The City of Wilmington is holding an open house on the North 3rd Street Improvement Project. The open house will take place on Wednesday, July 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 102 N. 3rd Street.
A brief overview of the project design and construction schedule will be followed by the opportunity to discuss project elements with officials from the city and the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority.
The project involves the replacement of water and sewer lines, the placement of power and other utilities underground and new street paving, sidewalks, curbs, crosswalks, street furnishings, lighting and traffic signals.
Work is expected to begin in late July and last 13 months.
