The Cape Fear River Assembly (CFRA) has a new website that provides detailed information about the Cape Fear River and its watershed. The site is a one-stop source of research and education that includes links to recreational opportunities, access to monitoring data and educational materials. The website can be found at cfra-nc.org
The assembly serves as a hub for river-related research, education and policy initiatives. It is governed by a board of directors composed of representatives of industry, agriculture, governmental, and environmental concerns. Wilmington City Council member Laura Padgett represents the City of Wilmington on the board. The Cape Fear River watershed is the largest and most developed in the state.
