Two of the City of Wilmington’s facilities were featured in a tour of five solar powered properties in the area on Oct. 5. The engineering and fleet buildings located within the city’s Operations Center on River Road both have rooftop solar panels.
Cape Fear Solar Systems joined with the nonprofit American Solar Energy Society (ASES) to showcase local solar-powered facilities as part of the 18th Annual National Solar Tour. Complimentary seminars about solar tax credits and where/how solar power can be used were also available.
