||On Monday, October 14, the Wilmington City Council heard an update on the 2013 legislative session of the NC General Assembly that ended in July. They also got a preview of the next session, which will begin in May 2014 and is expected to last 4-6 weeks.
The many new bills passed into to law include new criteria for funding of state transportation projects and environmental regulations. New legislative action in the upcoming session is expected to result from several studies and committee reviews currently underway.
