Fall back & change your batteries!

Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend, so remember to "fall back" and set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed on Nov. 2.

The Wilmington Fire Department would like to remind you that changing your clock also means changing the batteries in smoke detectors. Smoke detectors should be replaced every ten years and batteries should be replaced twice a year.

If you need assistance with your smoke alarm, the WFD can help with battery replacement, testing or installation of smoke alarms in your home. Please call 910.343.4784 or 910.342.2731 for more information.
