The City of Wilmington will hold its next neighborhood outreach meeting on Nov. 21 to get input from citizens about what they like and don’t like about their neighborhoods, as well as what they want to keep and what they want to change.
Thursday's meeting will be held for residents of the Pine Valley area at 6:30 p.m. at Pine Valley Elementary School, located at 440 John S. Mosby Dr.
The Pine Valley area is one of Wilmington’s most established suburban neighborhoods from the post-WWII era. The area is made up largely of single-family homes and US Census data projects that the number of residents 65 and older will increase by almost 60 percent over the next four years.
This is the fourth of 12 planned meetings and the final meeting in 2013. The meetings will resume again on January 16, 2014 for the Echo Farms-Rivers Edge area. Input from the meetings will serve as a building block for the city’s long-term plan that, when finalized, will serve as the policy foundation for decision-making to proactively manage growth and change.
