The Wilmington Police Department is responding to a recent rash of crime in three ways: Mobile Field Force, a joint venture with New Hanover County Sheriff's Department and a new Gang Investigative Unit.
The first of 12 citizen input and participation meetings will be held on Oct. 17. These fun, interactive meetings will allow attendees to define the vision for their community and will lay the groundwork for the city's long-term growth plan.
