City seeks public input for econ. dev. strategy

The City of Wilmington, New Hanover County and Garner Economics, LLC are seeking public input to help develop an economic development strategy. All residents in New Hanover County are invited to participate in an anonymous, brief survey and share opinions about our business community.

New holiday tradition!

The Rotary Wheel at Greenfield Lake is the new site for the city’s long-standing holiday tree lighting tradition, including a celebration coordinated with the local Rotary Club. The old tree at the Sweeney Water Plant has lost almost all its foliage, is no longer capable of supporting lights and has limited access.

Cross-City Trail Public Mtg
A public meeting will be held on November 14, 6 p.m. at Halyburton Park to discuss the John D. Barry/Wade Park Cross-City Trail construction project. Community meeting on gang violence
On Wednesday, UNCW and the City of Wilmington will host a panel of UNCW faculty experts who will discuss gun violence. The meeting will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. in the CIS Building on the UNCW campus, Room 1008. The forum is free of charge and members of the community and media are invited to attend. [Read more...]

Big weekend for tennis
