Muters Alley park reopens

The Muters Alley pocket park, which had been closed since mid-September 2013, has reopened as crews put finishing touches on pavers and landscaping.

The space had to be closed while an old concrete retaining wall was replaced with a new steel bulkhead along the riverfront and some drainage improvements were installed. The Riverwalk – which also had to be closed during construction – was reopened last month after the work was completed.

Muters Alley is located mid-way between Dock and Orange streets. This project is funded through the City of Wilmington’s 5-Year Infrastructure Improvement Plan.
