The Wilmington City Council will hold a budget worksession following the regularly scheduled agenda briefing on Monday. The briefing begins at 8:30 a.m. in 1st floor conference room at City hall. The budget worksession will immediately follow the agenda briefing.

Items of interest on the agenda include:
A resolution for Wilmington Downtown, Inc. to evaluate the
establishment of a Municipal Service District (MSD) for increased service levels downtown. In a February 18 presentation to City Council, consultant DFI recommended that a MSD be established to facilitate economic development of the Water Street Parking Deck, without any additional tax. Staff is recommending that Wilmington Downtown Inc. further evaluate the possibility of establishing a MSD in the downtown and report their findings to City Council during the course of the nextfiscal year.

agenda. Working in partnership with other NC governments at the upcoming session of the 113th Congress, Wilmington's 2014 Federal Legislative Agenda will focus on broad areas ranging from investments in local transportation and public safety to historic preservation and economic development.
he next Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 18. The agenda for the next meeting will be posted on the city's website on Friday, March 14.
Meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, which is located on the second floor of City Hall at 102 North 3rd Street. Parking is available in the Thalian Hall parking lot or in the city parking deck located directly across from City Hall.
