The Wilmington Police Department and Wilmington Parks & Recreation, in partnership with the Greater Wilmington Tennis Association, are hosting a "Badges & Rackets" tennis clinic for children ages 6-14. The clinic will be held at the Althea Gibson Tennis Complex at Empie Park, located at 3405-A Park Avenue.

The 7-week program is free and will be held from 3:30-5 p.m. on Tuesdays from June 24 - August 5. Tennis racquets will be provided and all participants will receive a t-shirt and their own tennis racquet after the clinic is over. The goal of the program is to introduce children to the sport of tennis and to encourage activity in a safe environment.

Space is limited and registration is required. The deadline to register is Tuesday, June 17. Registration forms are available at the Althea Gibson Tennis Complex at Empie Park, the Wilmington Police Department, located at 615 Bess Street, or by clicking on the link below.
