Crews working overtime on yard waste pickup

The contractor currently helping with yard waste pickup has now brought in another truck and will be able to pick up even more yard waste. The contractor and city crews from Solid Waste and Stormwater will work overtime on Saturday as part of the city’s ongoing effort to get caught up on yard waste pickup. Currently, crews are about 1-1.5 days behind and expect to get caught up by the end of next week.

In addition, six of the 18 trucks included for consideration to purchase on Tuesday’s City Council agenda are yard waste trucks needed to replace the aging trucks that have caused much of the pick-up delay over the last few weeks.

The city appreciates the patience and cooperation of our citizens as we work to get caught up on yard waste pickup.
