The 2nd Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure will take place in downtown Wilmington on Mar. 1. With 2,000 expected participants, there will be some traffic impacts for those who live or plan to travel downtown on Saturday before 5 p.m.

About 40 residents of the Carolina Place-Ardmore area came out to the neighborhood planning meeting at New Hanover High School on Feb. 20. Residents shared what they love about their neighborhoods, what they’d like to change, and their big ideas for the future of the area.

The City of Wilmington will hold its seventh neighborhood outreach meeting on Thursday, Feb. 20 for residents of the Carolina Place/Ardmore area. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria of New Hanover High School, located at 1307 Market St.
