The Muters Alley pocket park, which had been closed since mid-September 2013, has reopened as crews put finishing touches on pavers and landscaping.
Work began on Sept. 30 to install drainage improvements and repave Park Ave. between Hinton and Greenville avenues. The work is part of the City of Wilmington's 5-Year Improvement Plan.
Work is underway to replace an old concrete underwater retaining wall on the riverfront at Muters Alley. As a result, one block of the Riverwalk is closed between Orange and Dock streets. All businesses will remain open.

Lane closures on Rose Avenue, Mallard Street and Widgeon Drive through August 30 while the roads are repaved as part of the city's 5-Year Improvement Plan.
There will be single lane traffic on Longstreet Drive between Shipyard Blvd. and Pine Valley Dr. from Aug. 26-30 so that the road can be repaved.
Five of seven streets have been repaved as part of a $1.2 million repaving project in the city's 5-year improvement plan.
A small section of Rose Avenue just north of Andover Drive will be closed from Monday, August 12 through Friday, August 16 so that crews can install drainage improvements in preparation for repaving the road.
