Carp help water quality at Greenfield Lake
On Jan. 23, the City of Wilmington re-stocked Greenfield Lake with 800 sterile grass carp to continue managing water quality in the lake. For the last several years, the city has used sterile carp fish to help control growth of underwater vegetation, which in turn helps reduce unsightly algae. [Read more...]

New city park underway
Construction on Seagate Park is underway. The park, located at 6001 Mariner Lane, will act as a memorial to the late Edward John Haneman and his wife Mary who donated the land to the city. The park is expected to be complete in March. [Read more...]
