New holiday tradition!

The Rotary Wheel at Greenfield Lake is the new site for the city’s long-standing holiday tree lighting tradition, including a celebration coordinated with the local Rotary Club. The old tree at the Sweeney Water Plant has lost almost all its foliage, is no longer capable of supporting lights and has limited access.

Community meeting on gang violence
On Wednesday, UNCW and the City of Wilmington will host a panel of UNCW faculty experts who will discuss gun violence.
