At their agenda briefing this morning, the Wilmington City Council heard a presentation on a potential $38 million parks bond referendum. The long list of needs that would be addressed by this bond includes $20 million for the city’s North Waterfront Park and $10 million for a soccer complex.

Crews are mobilizing to begin work on the replacement section of Riverwalk behind the Brooks Building. The 243-foot section of Riverwalk will be a freestanding wooden structure.

This week, crews are finishing up drainage improvements on Oxmoor Place in the Kensington Place neighborhood off Hooker Road. This project will help reduce flooding between properties located on Oxmoor Place and Eastwind Road.
