Sidewalk connector installed on Greenfield Street
This week, the city began construction of a sidewalk connector along Greenfield Street that eliminates a gap between two existing sections. This is an example of the city’s efforts to construct sidewalk connectors in areas that have missing segments in popular pedestrian thoroughfares. Work is expected to be completed next week. Miracle Field lights up night with solar power
The Miracle Field at Olsen Park, which is celebrating its first birthday this weekend, is getting a break on its power bill thanks to solar panels installed earlier this year. The donated panels are part of a 9,600-watt system used to offset energy costs for the facility. [Read more...]

Muni golf course gets green
On Thursday, July 10, crews began “sprigging” approximately 12 acres of greens and approaches at the City of Wilmington’s municipal golf course.  The sprigs, which are 3-6 inch grass stems, are hand-planted. [Read more...]
