Council to consider parks bond referendum
At their agenda briefing this morning, the Wilmington City Council heard a presentation on a potential $38 million parks bond referendum. The long list of needs that would be addressed by this bond includes $20 million for the city’s North Waterfront Park and $10 million for a soccer complex.

Work begins at Greenfield Lake Park
Crews began installing a new bulkhead along Greenfield Lake in mid-January as part of a $440,000 project to replace the old bulkhead, wooden walkway and paddle boat docks located along the lake between the boat house and the playground area on the northwest side of Greenfield Park. [Read more...]
