Green Spring Carnival at Halyburton Park
On Saturday, March 22, the City of Wilmington will hold the Green Spring Carnival at Halyburton Park from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The event is designed to encourage recycling at all ages and will include games, activities, exhibits from local businesses and a recycled art gallery featuring local artists and UNCW students. NC Arbor Day celebration
On March 21 at 10 a.m., the Wilmington Tree Commission (WTC) will hold a celebration for NC Arbor Day at Pine Valley Elementary School, located at 440 John S. Mosby Drive. Muni Course greens restoration
At their meeting on Feb. 18, the Wilmington City Council is expected to provide city staff with direction so that the greens restoration project for the city's Municipal Golf Course can move forward. Staff will also provide Council with financing options at the Feb. 18 meeting. City Council saw a presentation on Feb. 17 outlining the project.
