Street improvements

Street repaving contract approved
City Council approved a contract on Sept. 16 to pave 4.5 lane miles on Racine Drive, Covil Avenue and Darlington Avenue as part of the city's 5-year improvement plan. [Read more...]

Water St paving underway
City crews are applying temporary pavement and patches on Water Street between Princess and Walnut streets as part of the city’s streets maintenance program. City saves money with LED lights
The City of Wilmington has just finished converting more than 200 streetlights to environmentally-friendly LED lights, which will save more than $10,000 a year. LED lights also reduce greenhouse gas emissions, in keeping with the US Conference of Mayors Climate Protection Initiative approved by City Council.  [Read more...]
Randall Pkwy now 4 lanes
The City of Wilmington held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Randall Parkway widening project on Dec. 18. Work will be complete on the year-long project by the end of the month.

Sidewalk repairs begin

Randall Pkwy ribbon cutting
