The City of Wilmington will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the upcoming completion of the Randall Parkway Widening Project on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 10 a.m. in Anne McCrary Park on Randall Parkway near Randall Pond.
On December 5, the NCDOT designated Airlie Road between Military Cutoff/Oleander Drive and Eastwood Road as one of 57 Scenic Byways in the state.

There will be a public meeting on Oct. 8 to discuss the walkway under the Heide Trask Bridge. The walkway will be an extension of the Gary Shell Cross-City Trail.
The Randall Parkway widening project is moving ahead on schedule.
Crews are completing drainage improvements and have begun installing sidewalk along Greenville Loop Road between Greenville Village and Bradley Creek Elementary. Traffic delays can be expected as the work continues.
