FREE midnight basketball program at MLK

The city's FREE Midnight Basketball Program will kick off starting Friday, June 20 at 8 p.m. The program will take place from 8 p.m. to midnight each Friday through August 22 at the MLK, Jr. Community Center for youths age 12‐18.

WPD to apply for $1.2 million grant

On June 17, Police Chief Ralph Evangelous presented a plan to the Wilmington City Council to expand the successful community policing program. During the meeting, Council authorized the city to apply for a $1.2 million community policing grant.
