To create an original logo that commemorates and celebrates the HPC and the city’s historic resources. The winning logo will be featured on HPC celebration materials throughout 2012. The winning logo may also be used as the HPC’s permanent logo.
Open to all residents of the City of Wilmington, New Hanover, Pender and Brunswick counties

Registration is required prior to submission. Teams entering the competition must identify one individual to be the official registrant in the competition. The registrant will be the official representative of the team. All team members will receive credit for the winning entry and a single prize. Up to ten (10) design submissions per registration are allowed.

Upon receipt of a signed registration form, each registrant will be issued a registration number. The registration number is generated at the time of registration and is included in the registration receipt e-mail to all properly completed registrations. Registration number must be included on the submission(s).
The competition registrant will serve as the sole contact via e-mail throughout the competition.
The logo design submission(s) shall have no name or mark that could serve as a means of identifying the registrant. Failure to comply with this rule will lead to immediate disqualification. No registrant may otherwise directly or indirectly reveal the authorship of any design concepts to any juror, competition consultant or member of the press. Such identification, occurring at any time during the competition, will result in disqualification.
Submit your logo as a medium resolution JPEG or TIFF file no larger than 2 MB in size. The design should work in both color and black and white formats and should be easily identifiable in a variety of sizes. Make sure to upload an image that is at least 640 × 480 pixels – for print this will result in a 5 ×4 cm size logo at 300 dpi.
Note: Proposed logo design may not incorporate copyrighted material.

Logo designs submitted to the city will not be returned. The city will become the owner of the winning logo submission, any drawings, specifications and other documents that comprise the winning entry, including those in electronic or graphic form. The city may publish, reproduce, publicize, distribute, exhibit, and archive any part or all of the artwork, in whatever manner the city deems appropriate, including any written and electronic medium.
