How to Report Crime

If you see anything suspicious call 911

Reporting Crime Annonomously
The City of Wilmington Police Department has a system that allows citizens to text message tips anonymously. The message first goes to a national server where all sender-identifying information is removed. Only the crime tip is forwarded on to the WPD.

Text TIP708 and the message to CRIMES (274637).
The message must begin with TIP708.
When the message is received at CRIMES, the name and cell phone number will be stripped from the message before it is forwarded to the WPD.
