• Always picking up after their pet
• Carrying a clean-up bag or scooper at all times
• Properly disposing of pet waste by either:
  • Placing it in a closed trash can (bag it first!)
  • Putting it in a pet waste digester
  • Burying it at least 6” deep and away from gardens, wells, ditches, storm drains and waterways
  • Not flushing pet waste down the toilet (CFPUA ordinance)
• Encouraging other pet owners to be responsible too
  
  

Once pet owners sign a pledge, dogs will receive a free Clean Water Canine doggie bandana, a tasty treat, and other program materials. We have some freebies for owners too!
